REMEMBERING 9-11-01

It was the last time the world made sense.
It was the last time that airplanes seemed ordinary.
It was the last time that a bright blue sun filled day didn’t seem threatening.
It was the last time that personal freedom was second to airport security.
It was the last time that military personnel weren’t so
noticeable and commonplace.

It was the last time that pilots weren’t locked and loaded in the cockpit.
It was the last time that flight attendants didn’t need tactical defense training.
It was the last time that airline travel didn’t require federal security personnel.

It was the last time that Iraq and Afghanistan weren’t part of everyday news.
It was the last time the world made sense.
It was September 10, 2001.
